Lemonade Diet Review and Recipe
Hey, what’s up eerybody? I’m back with my latest and greatest review on the Master Cleanse, or more affectionately known as the Lemonade Diet. First, let me say that I am not going to go into the process of the Lemonade Diet. I feel it is very important that you purchase the book on the Master Cleanse before attempting this diet, because it really is more of a fast, than anything else. However, I will post the recipe below for those of you who are interested.
Let me say that I did purchase the book/pamphlet prior to trying this and I did it for 10 days. I drank the cleansing tea that is recommended throughout the process, as well as the salt wash. The first 2 days of the diet were probably the hardest. It’s just natural for us to eat some kind of food throughout the day. I did feel weak and a little out of it, but that feeling passed by day 4.
I like spicy foods, so I got very used to the cayenne pepper in the drink. I actually continued to drink the concoction for quite a while after I finished, which I think is a No, No. So I came, I fought and I conquered; I made it through 10 days of absolutely no solid foods.
Did I lose weight? Yes. The results were not quite as drastic as I wanted, but I was not really exercising during this time. I didn’t want to become too fatigued, and end up eating a meal. Did I gain the weight back? Unfortunately, Yes. Would I recommend this diet? No, I don’t think so. The results just weren’t enough for me to go through that again.
The worse part of the Lemonade Diet was the after affects. My body had expelled quite a bit of toxins and built up waste, which was a good thing. I had read in the book that my sense of smell and taste would be intensified, since my system would be so pure after getting rid of all the toxins. I would say this was true, and almost a little too much for my taste. For about 6 months after I finished the fast, my sense of taste and smell were incredible. Things like cream cheese were just too rich for my palette all of a sudden; and I could smell what the neighbors were cooking up down the street. By the way, a greater sense of smell is not always a good thing; especially if you have pets.
So I give the Lemonade Diet a thumbs down. If any of our readers have tried it, I would love to hear your feedback and reviews.
